Mark Irvin
VP, Supply Chain

Company: Best Buy

Mark Irvin has been with Best Buy since September 2013.  Initially joining Best Buy to lead the West Coast Field Supply Chain organization which consisted of both Regional Centers (RDCs) and Distribution Delivery Centers (DDCs), Mark was instrumental in realigning the organizational structure to drive core efficiency and business growth (large and small distribution focus).  Subsequent to this change, resulted in all of small product store replenishment and Dotcom fulfillment being positioned under one leader while large product delivery distribution centers and delivery pads being positioned under another leader.  This change resulted in focused efforts to improved key expectations in speed and service for both appliances and the consumer electronics businesses.

Today, Mark is a Vice President within Supply Chain working on both Field Execution and identifying key strategic initiatives that will drive the customer experience (right product, right place, and right time).  Prior to joining Best Buy, Mark worked for another major retailer (Target) for eleven year as a Director in both field leadership and headquarters based roles all within supply chain operations.  Mark’s other leadership roles have been with Cummins Engine Company, Corporate Express Delivery Systems, Baxter Health, and as a Captain in the US Army.

Mark has an undergraduate degree from Fisk University in Nashville, TN and was commissioned through the ROTC program at Vanderbilt University. Mark served in the Armed Forces for 8 years in Field Medical Logistics.

Additionally, Mark has his MBA from Franklin University in Columbus, OH.
