Andrew Downard is a global executive with strong leadership experience in Supply Chain, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Commercial Excellence, Customer Service, Sourcing, Warehousing and Distribution, Operations, Operational Excellence, and Systems Implementation. He is skilled at driving programs and initiatives across business units and global regions. His passion is catalyzing organizational transformation through the development of people, processes, and systems.
Andrew is currently Vice President of Supply Chain at Apex Tool Group. ATG is one of the largest manufacturers of professional power and hand tools in the world, serving the vehicle service and assembly, industrial, aerospace, electronics, construction and serious DIY markets. In addition to over 30 owned brands, ATG manufactures select, premier private label tools for a variety of well-known retailers.
Andrew’s past roles have focused on improving operational execution for a number of consumer, commercial, and service brands. His experience includes time as a supply chain research director with Gartner, as well as leadership positions with consumer products, food manufacturing, healthcare, medical services, chemical manufacturing, and aerospace manufacturing companies.
Andrew is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt. He holds a B.Sc. and Ph.D. in chemistry and has been a guest lecturer on Organizational Maturity, Operational Excellence, and Customer Service at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School since 2009.
